Yes. Once your build is paid for, whether you pay upfront or spread it over 12 months, the website is yours to keep and move anywhere. Your words and photos are always yours.
Yes, always. Your web address is registered in your name from day one, so it goes with you if you ever decide to leave.
There's no ongoing contract. Hosting and care plans can be cancelled any time. The only commitment is finishing paying for your build if you spread it, the same as any payment plan.
No, and it is worth being clear. The 12-month plan is your one-off build price (£55 or £82 a month) spread over a year; once the twelve payments are done the build is paid off and it drops to just hosting, from £18 a month. The optional Care Plan is a separate £49 a month for ongoing maintenance and support, which you can take or leave. Neither is a never-ending subscription for a website.
No hostage situation, and the honest answer depends on where you are. Once your build is paid for, whether you paid upfront or finished the plan, I hand over your site files free on request so you or another developer can host it elsewhere, and your domain is yours either way. If you are partway through the 12-month plan and stop, the site pauses until you resume or settle the remaining balance, because the build is only yours once it is paid in full. Your domain stays in your name throughout.

Start ProjectThe cleaning site above started as a clean one-page build. It looked good and worked fine. When I audited it with the same tool I use on client sites, it scored 9 out of 30 for search visibility. Not because the build was poor, but because a basic site does not include the groundwork that Google and AI search need.
So I did that work. One page became seven, one for each service. Structured data now tells Google and AI search exactly what the business does and where. Ten FAQs are written the way people actually ask. Reviews are dated and linked to the Google profile. Rescanned with the same tool: 26 out of 30. And it is still being developed: next up is swapping the stock images for photos of real cleans, which is where some of the remaining points are.
